In the beautiful historic Trinitatiskapel in Dordrecht, soprano Donij van Doorn and pianist/organist Arjan Breukhoven will give a gala concert together on Saturday, April 22. Donij van Doorn, of whom André Rieu says: "a beauty from Twente with a crystal clear voice who sings emotionally beautiful," will sing highlights from the musical and classical music world in a moving but also humorous way.
Until recently, Donij van Doorn traveled all over the world as a soloist with André Rieu's Joh. Strauss Orchestra, has frequently appeared on TV and sang for large halls and stadiums with often more than 10,000 concertgoers. To her name are major roles in many operas and sang many a solo in impressive oratorios of great composers. Her vocal virtuosity will be heard during the concert, along with emotional and intense singing.
Donij will be accompanied by pianist, organist and composer Arjan Breukhoven. This Rotterdam centipede plays both classical and light music and knows how to accompany soloists in a unique way. Besides accompanying, Arjan will of course also play some solos on the grand piano and organ. An inspiring musician who knows how to combine traditional music with contemporary music.
Tickets cost €18.00 and are available at: https://www.arjanbreukhoven.nl/agenda and if still in stock at the chapel door.
