Dark thriller about ingenious undercover operation
"Loner" Henry(Sean Harris) does a job with career criminal Mark(Joel Edgerton). During their escape, the two strike up a deep conversation with each other. A close friendship develops and Henry rises through the ranks of the local crime organization. What Henry does not know, however, is that Mark is a trained undercover agent with the secret mission. He is trying to find out if Henry is the perpetrator of an unsolved (child) murder case eight years ago.
The Stranger is a suspenseful and dark thriller based on one of Australia's greatest undercover operations. The psychological cat-and-mouse game between the two bearded men is superbly acted.
