Retired teacher and widow yearns for adventure and good sex
Nancy (Emma Thompson) is a former teacher and widow. She goes in search of the adventure and fulfillment she has missed all these years. And she finds that adventure in the form of a sex worker named Leo Grande(Daryl McCormack). In an anonymous hotel room, they meet. Leo looks just like his picture in real life, but Nancy hadn't counted on good sex AND good conversation. Leo has an opinion about everything, and although he doesn't always tell the truth, Nancy likes him. And he likes her.too. Her sexual confidence grows and Nancy begins to relax. During sneaky dates, two people discover more about who they really are.
After Last Chance Harvey (2008), Emma Thompson once again makes a statement about love and lust in aging women. A 63-year-old woman naked in a movie shouldn't be that special, but it is.
