Concert on the Bach organ.

Cor Ardesch (*1959) studied the organ with Piet Kee at the Sweelinck Conservatoire in Amsterdam. He also studied Improvisation with Bert Matter at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague.

Since 1998 Cor Ardesch has been organist of the Grote of Onze Lieve Vrouwekerk in Dordrecht. On 26 September 2007, during the inauguration of the Bach organ, Cor Ardesch was appointed city organist of Dordrecht. In 2011, he was appointed Knight of the Order of Oranje-Nassau for his merits in the field of organ culture in general and in Dordrecht in particular.

Every year Cor Ardesch gives a large number of concerts at home and abroad. In 2018 he made a Grand Tour through Russia.

As artistic advisor, he works with the Werkgroep Muziek, which organises a large number of concerts in the Grote Kerk each year.

Cor Ardesch also teaches organ, improvisation and church organ playing.

The beautiful instruments of the Grote Kerk are a source of inspiration for many pupils.

A number of CDs appeared, on which he plays the Kam organ of the Grote Kerk in Dordrecht. In December 2008 Cor Ardesch started a large project in which all the organ works of Johann Sebastian Bach, played on the Bach organ, were recorded on CD.
