The Kruiskerk Baptist Church was built in 1886 by architect A. Schmidt and was extensively remodeled and enlarged in 1935 to the plan of architect G. Gerritse. The church is soberly built of brick with some natural stone elements, from a rectangular plan. The front facade of the church shapes in one plane the entrance to the church, the expression of the church hall and the sexton's dwelling. Inside, six prominent laminated wood trusses support the roof of the church hall. The church has seven stained glass windows and a pointed recess in the rear wall houses the organ and pulpit. A baptismal basin was installed in front of the pulpit in 1977 to allow baptism by immersion.
