The two authors tell the story of the creation and the vicissitudes of the Vereeniging Kunstmin, which was founded in 1846. At the end of the 19th century, the society got its own theatre, designed by the Rotterdam architect Verheul. In the 20th century, the famous architect Sybold van Ravesteyn designed a completely new, beautiful interior.
