Product description

The best-known exponents of impressionism in the Netherlands are of course the Hague School and later the Amsterdam Impressionists. In a number of cities, including Dordrecht, there were also groups of painters who were inspired by the Hague School.

The Dordrecht artist Peter van Loon wrote this richly illustrated book about the Dordrecht impressionists, from Roland Larij to Thomas van Heck, the last Dordrecht impressionist. Characteristic of this group, which was active for over 100 years, was the great variety of subjects.
