Synopsis
When Prince Siegfried goes hunting, he stumbles upon a swarm of swans. One swan transforms into the beautiful human Odette and he is immediately enraptured by her. But Odette is enchanted, causing her to take the form of a swan during the day. Can Siegfried free her? Tchaikovsky's sensational score, along with the evocative imagination of choreographer Liam Scarlett and designer John Macfarlane, heightens the dramatic pathos of Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov of this eminently classical ballet piece. Swan Lake is to this day one of classical ballet's most beloved works.
