During the Griendexcursion you take a walk led by a Biesbosch guide along the Griend Museum Trail, where you can experience both nature and cultural history.
Until the 1950s, wicker workers worked and lived in this area, cutting willows. During the walk you will visit an original griendkeet where a 'griendwerker' welcomes you. Over a crackling fire in the Stenen Keet, a former home of the griendenwerkers, he will tell you about life and work in the Biesbosch. Then you walk with the guide back through the nature reserve and make the ferry crossing back to the Biesbosch center.
This excursion is suitable for ages 9 and up.
