On Wednesday, June 17, we’ll get creative! During this fun children’s activity, kids will paint their own angisa—a beautiful headscarf from Surinamese culture. While you paint, you’ll also learn more about the meaning and history of the angisa. In addition, children will learn how Surinamese lemonade is made in a unique way. A wonderful mix of art, culture, and fun—and suitable for children ages 5 to 12. Parents are also welcome to join us with a cup of tea or coffee and participate in the fun. Please note: participation is free, but registration is required due to the materials needed.
