Join Emma from Take pART on a tour and explore the collection through clothing
Take a look at the permanent collection through the eyes of a fashion lover. Emma from the Take pART youth department takes you on a tour of paintings featuring rich fabrics, unique garments, and refined details.
During this tour, you’ll discover what clothing in the 17th century revealed about identity, wealth, and status. You’ll learn how fabrics were made, traded, and processed, and how artists managed to depict velvet, lace, and silk with stunning realism.
From shimmering gowns and meticulously pleated collars to the global trade in luxury textiles: historical stories and traditional craftsmanship come together in a surprising introduction to the collection.
An inspiring guided tour that shows you that there's a story behind every piece of clothing.
Take pART
Take pART is the Dordrechts Museum’s youth talent program. Young people aged 16 to 21 work at the museum for a year to inspire their peers (and others) to get excited about art. They organize events, create online content, lead tours, and bring new perspectives to the museum.
