Experience Classical is a series of classical performances in the Kunstkerk. This time, Dordrecht-raised pianist Ruben Plaizier will play a Chopin piano marathon.

RubenPlazier, pianist, is acclaimed for his emotional expression. He earned with distinction his Diplôme Supérieur d'exécution and Diplôme Supérieur Concertiste at the renowned Ecole Normale de Musique Alfred Cortot in Paris, under the guidance of pianist Jean-Bernard Pommier.
After taking lessons with pianist Wibi Soerjadi, Ruben met at the age of 14 the Belgian pianist, Stéphane De May with whom he continued his studies at the Conservatory of Rotterdam and subsequently received his Bachelor degree.
Through Stéphane De May he met French pianist Jean-Bernard Pommier with whom he eventually earned his diplomas Supérieur d'enseignment, Supérieur d'execution and supérieur concertiste with unanimity at the ecole normale de musique in Paris. Before this, he spent years visiting the pianist's home in southern France to take piano and chamber music lessons with him.
When in 2017 the Latvian Radio Choir led by conductor Sigvards Klava came to the Netherlands for a tour including the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Ruben was asked to play with them. Ruben is the artistic director of several concert series in the Netherlands including the van Cappellen festival, Waalse kerk Breda and Experience Klassiek, a series with different venues in the Netherlands that he started in 2022.
