Light Trail Wandering
Enjoy this enchanting route of lights through the historic center of Dordrecht. Otis the Crook: a cocky water creature who lit the lanterns every evening takes you along the route. He made sure that every lamppost in the city was lit, so that Dordrecht was beautifully illuminated at night.
During these (evening) walks, the city guides will take you through the historic city center of Dordrecht, which is beautifully illuminated in various places. Experience the city's rich history in the dark, discover dark stories, romantic events and exciting legends from days gone by. During the Dordrecht December Days, the historic city center is more atmospheric than ever.
Sail along with the boats of the Klein Schippersgilde through the fairylike illuminated Voorstraatshaven with the colorful bridges, the Nieuwe Haven with the illuminated ships, the Wolwevershaven with the traditional cargo ships, past the festively lit windows and monumental buildings. Enjoy the breathtaking reflection of the lights in the water.
The garden of the Grote Kerk is an atmospheric hotspot where Dordrecht catering entrepreneurs offer their delicacies. There will be a nostalgic fairground attraction for children, and live music will sound from an intimate stage to complete the atmosphere.
