This year, Dordrecht is marking the 400th anniversary of the birth of Johan de Witt. He is one of the most important and famous politicians in Dutch history and was born in Dordrecht. All kinds of activities will be organized around Johan de Witt, such as the exhibition De wereld van Johan de Witt, fascinating lectures, city walks, cozy coffee mornings, workshops, music performances and many more surprising events for young and old.

The bicycle four-day event Rond Uit Dordrecht has become a good tradition during the week between Ascension and Pentecost. Participants can choose from cycling routes of 30, 50 and 80 km. Each day has its own theme such as World Cycling Day, food from the farmer, brothers de Witt and Liniecrossers.
