InDordrecht Newsletter
This coming weekend during the Open Monument Days , 70 monuments in Dordrecht will open their doors wide for you. This is your chance to take a look at places you would otherwise never or rarely visit! Enjoy music at historic sites, walk or cycle a mapped-out route along the many monuments.
Theme 2024: Heritage of routes, networks and connections
As a city that has always been on the move, Dordrecht showcases its historical and contemporary connections. The program takes you on a journey through time with unique tours, exhibitions and activities. Discover the ancient trade routes and networks that still connect the city today.
Especially for this edition of Heritage Days, 3 fun (free) routes have been mapped out. Two walking routes: Dordtse Handelroutes and Overbruggen. Furthermore, a bicycle route along monuments outside the city center.
For cycling enthusiasts, together with Ronduit Dordrecht, a beautiful route has been put together along monuments outside the city center. Follow the blue arrows.
Be inspired by live painting on Saturday and Sunday on the lawn in the Kloostertuin, in the heart of Dordrecht. Pass a brush and express your own creativity.
Program with map, the monumental routes and the children's treasure hunt are available from VVV Dordrecht during the weekend. You can also register at VVV for the guided city walks.
New this year is the national app Open Monument Day. It allows you to have all the information you need on the go. Create your own favorites and search through the map to experience everything even better.
The best way to get to the center of Dordrecht is by public transportation or bicycle. Will you still come by car? Then check out the options here.
