Come to the 25th Dordtse Boekenmarkt!
This year, the Dordtse Boekenmarkt is celebrating its 25th anniversary. A ribbon of almost 500 book stalls winds through the city. For all visitors, there is not only a choice of books, but also a musical and literary programme and cosy terraces.
Do you want to shop for more books after your visit to the Dordtse Boekenmarkt? Dordrecht is increasingly gaining the image of a Book Town with its many specialised bookstores from second-hand to new, from comic books to English.
An evening of shopping fun in the city centre with extra atmosphere, actions and activities. On the streets you will be surprised by strolling bands and there are special offers in the shops and restaurants.
In an 18-metre-high Ferris wheel, you listen to the story of Radman with headphones on. He hears and sees everything in the city and whispers secrets in your ear during the ride. Take a ride during the Hoffestival in Dordrecht from 8 to 10 July.
It is summer, Dordrecht is in full bloom and this is the ideal time for a fun city break in Dordrecht, a surprising destination in the Netherlands. A beautiful historical city by the water.
In Hof van Nederland, you will experience how we in the Netherlands deal with our freedoms, past and present, told from different perspectives. The museum has recently been completely renewed and you will be challenged to look at the past and present to get a better understanding of what freedom means to you.
Dordrecht is celebrating this year. A cultural festival for young and old is being organised around Hof van Nederland to commemorate 450 years of the First Free State Assembly. During the festival, everyone from young to old is welcome at the various activities, with special attention to young people and children.
Dordrecht is easily accessible by car, train, bus, bicycle and water. If you want to go to the centre, take public transport or a bicycle whenever possible. But what about the car?
