From the Voorstraat Noord Festival to Dordrecht Pakt uit: boredom is out of the question in the near future, as atmosphere-enhancing events are back on the calendar.
Wonderful Indian summer in Dordrecht is a great prospect!
An extensive program with music and kleinkunst on various stages: that's what you can expect at the Voorstraat Noord Festival. From a DJ to a poetry reading. An added bonus is that the event is still free and has a real city character. "Our own Dordrians enjoy the performances of fellow townsfolk on stage, both regular fans and new visitors," says Sylvia Landa. "The festival is again a bit bigger than before. For example, there is a new stage with local DJs and the silent disco on the Nieuwbrug is now twice as big due to last year's success." The sixteenth edition forms a true tradition and is here to stay. For die hard music and culture lovers, but also for people who want to grab a terrace while enjoying music!
Check out the unprecedented possibilities of puppetry in all its facets in mid-September at the International Micro Festival. There are performances for children and for adults, as well as a number of routes for audiences to follow. The companies come from all over: The Netherlands, Poland, France, Germany, Belgium, Finland and even from Peru! They bring a visual show with stop-motion, a performance centered on hands and a show without words, among others. In addition, the routes are fun to walk with the whole family. Enjoy a shadow play or flea circus. All small-scale, intimate and interactive, like the entire event. Many genres pass by in a short amount of time, so you'll notice that the festival is about more than just traditional puppets.

For real beer lovers, September 24 has been red-lined in their calendars for a while now: the Schuim Beer Festival is coming up again! The seventh edition descends on the grounds of Schouwburg Kunstmin, just like last year. Tables, food trucks, brewers, beers: visitors can count on plenty of conviviality. Eight small breweries - also known as microbreweries - will show what they have to offer in terms of the yellow liquid. You buy a festival glass and tokens and then you can socialize and have a drink with friends or family. This is how you get to experience very special beer flavors. How about beer flavored with marshmallows or fennel? Separate, but definitely worth tasting! And if you like a really good beer, vote for it during the beer election.

The entrepreneurs of Dordrecht's inner city will be unpacking during Dordrecht Pakt Uit! Two days full of actions, tastings, activities and all kinds of surprises are scheduled. On Saturday there will be lots of entertainment and on Sunday there will be Dordt in de Mode, where the latest collections of stores will be presented on a long catwalk along the Sarisgang and on the Statenplein. The fall collection can be scrutinized here! Not only for women, but also for men and children. Always a draw, because here you will discover the latest trends.
There is plenty to experience and see in the city thanks to organizer Promotie Ondernemers Binnenstad Dordrecht (POBD). How about real cartoon characters who will literally and figuratively turn the center upside down? A nice nod to The Big Draw Festival, which also takes place this weekend. Have your kids draw cartoon characters to enter in a contest. But there's more. Shopkeepers are making it a party for all customers and visitors. What's extra nice about these days is that you can step inside new stores and discover things you haven't been to yet or don't normally visit easily. Enjoy strolling around: that is the motto of Dordrecht Pakt Uit!
