The Lange IJzeren Brug is a slender footbridge spanning the Nieuwe Haven in Dordrecht. It’s such a charming and romantic bridge—perfect for taking a photo! An idyllic spot with a beautiful view of the harbor.
This cosy, characteristic little street should not be missed during your visit to Dordrecht. There are several vintage shops, so who knows, apart from the beautiful photos, you might also take home a wonderful souvenir!
The Groothoofd is located at the confluence of three rivers—the busiest river junction in Europe. The Beneden-Merwede, the Oude Maas, and the Noord all converge here. The Groothoofdspoort, historically Dordrecht’s most important city gate, is still visible from the water. It’s a real eye-catcher and always looks great in photos!
The Town Hall in itself is a picture in itself and if you stand a little further away to look at it, you are in luck. The Dordrecht Town Hall used to be a market hall where Flemish merchants traded in cloth. Now it is primarily a beautiful wedding location or the backdrop for the most beautiful photos.
The Damiatebrug was built in the 19th century to a design by the cityarchitect G.N. Itz, who designed most of the bridges in Dordrecht. Drawbridges were mainly made of wood, but from 1837 cast iron was also used in the Netherlands. The bridge was therefore originally made of the easy-to-mould cast iron. Moreover, an extremely beautiful photo spot!
The Hofstraat is a beautiful setting where your photo will always be beautiful! The Hofstraat is even one of the favourite film locations in the Netherlands. The Hofstraat is also rich in national monuments. Fun fact: the row of façades as it can be seen now was only installed in the 1970s.
