What do you get when you combine a hotel with Christa's? A perfect match! On the first floor is Christa's, known for its sweet American and English delicacies, while the hotel rooms of Stadshotel Steegoversloot are on the higher floors of the monumental building. You can enjoy an extensive high tea both inside and in the green city garden. The high tea begins with a savory round: think soup, quiche or savory muffins, and a variety of sandwiches. Of course there is unlimited tea, each time with a different flavor. Then comes the sweet part: cakes like cheesecake or carrot cake, millionaires slice, warm scones, brownies and many more goodies. "Christa's high tea is hugely popular, it is our most chosen product," Remco and Annemieke van Helden tell us. "Even for parties and companies, this high tea is a favorite. That's because everything is home-baked or homemade, and you can taste that. We work as much as possible with organic, sustainable and preferably local products."
It’s pancake time!
In the mood for something different? Then go for a high pancake at Pancake District. As the name suggests, at a high pancake you get a tasting of four different stacks of American pancakes, both savory and sweet. These are served with unlimited tea from Het Theewinkeltje, for a high tea with a twist! Think a mini pancake with warm apples and cinnamon, one with cheddar and bacon, or a variation with berries, yogurt and lemon crumble. Owner Caroline Versluis notices that the high pancake is in demand. "A high tea is fun, but we wanted to stay true to our concept. And that seems to be working: people are enthusiastic. They appreciate the fact that there are different flavors, both sweet and savory."

The high wine at Bistro Twee33 is a real treat: you start with a glass of bubbles and an amuse bouche, followed by three dishes with matching wines. Still hungry? Then you can order another dessert. This high wine is perfect for a cozy afternoon, just before dinner. What makes this experience at Bistro Twee33 extra fun is that you will discover new dishes and wines that you might not otherwise be so quick to try. In November, Bistro Twee33 celebrates its tenth anniversary, so this is the perfect time to admire the new entrance with beautiful mural while enjoying the high wine.
