The approximately 350-year-old merchant's house in which the Europ'Art gallery is housed has a frame facade dating back to the 19th century. The facade has been changed, as have the windows on the first floor. In the twentieth century, various craftsmen had their workshops here, including a carpenter, a gilding company, a sailmaker and a plasterer. From 1973 to 1993, the well-known restorer and carpenter Bert Stoop (Zwijndrecht, 1931) had his workshop here. In 1976, the then Queen Beatrix, Prince Claus and the young princes visited the studio. At that time, Stoop was working on wood carvings for the sailing ship of the Royal Family: 'De Groene Draeck'. Besides the regular opening hours, the shop is also open by appointment. The shop also has a shopping Sunday every first Sunday of the month.
