At just 35 years old, Eric Steckel can already call himself a seasoned blues veteran. His career got off to a flying start when blues legend John Mayall invited him—at the age of 12—to tour with The Bluesbreakers and asked him to play lead guitar on his 2005 album. It turned out to be the beginning of an impressive international career. Since then, Eric has released no fewer than 12 solo albums, developed his own signature guitars, pickups, and amplifiers, and wowed audiences in more than 30 countries. His powerful, emotionally charged sound and virtuoso playing have made him a highly sought-after artist who has shared the stage with greats such as Steve Vai, Gregg Allman, Johnny Winter, Ray Charles, Larry Carlton, and Robben Ford. In 2024, Total Guitar Magazine named Eric #55 on its list of the 100 Greatest Blues Guitarists of All Time, and in 2021, Guitar Player Magazine named him one of the “10 Future Blues Stars.”
