The Flavium Blues Band was founded in 1969 and, over the course of its history, has carved out a prominent place for itself in the national and international blues scene. Through countless performances at events such as the North Sea Jazz Festival, Ribs and Blues, BluesPeer, and Culemborg Blues, as well as tours in countries including Germany, Belgium, England, and Ireland, the band has more than lived up to its reputation as a live act.
Flavium released twelve LPs and four CDs, and the singles “Nightlife” and “Nobody
knows you when you’re down and out” became hits.
In 2015, Flavium was inducted into the “Dutch Blues Hall of Fame” by the Dutch
Blues Foundation.
Flavium consists of: Bert Vrieling – vocals, Erwin van Ligten – guitar, Frank Montis – Hammond organ, Bouke van Olst – drums, Eric Bagchus – bass
