On Friday, June 26, the DJS music venue will be dedicated to blues from the local region. Under the banner “Local Blues Heroes,” two outstanding regional bands will perform for the Dordrecht audience: Tornadow and Bluespower.
Tornadow’s core lineup consists of Ton Pluymert on Hammond organ and vocals, Daniël van Gaalen on guitar and vocals, Jannes de Ruiter on drums and percussion, and Hans Beljaars on bass guitar. Together, they produce a beautifully layered sound. Their repertoire bridges the gap between the deep roots of authentic blues and the warm, narrative sounds of Americana.
The members of Bluespower have been around for quite a few years: drummer Henk van Zeijst and bassist Nico de Vos have a history with Rini van Willigen and have also toured internationally with him. Come on by, support the local scene, and enjoy an authentic evening of top-quality blues!
