The band consists of Mell Jonk (vocals, guitar), Ton Dijkman (drums, guitar, backing vocals), and Martin Scheppink (Hammond organ, piano/bass, backing vocals). The band previously performed under the name Mell & Vintage Future, but Mell VF has since established itself as a fixture on the Dutch music scene. Since its founding in 2015, Mell VF has built up an impressive live repertoire. The band has played at renowned venues and festivals such as Pinkpop and North Sea Jazz and has opened for international artists like Eric Clapton and Beth Hart. Their performances are characterized by musicality, intensity, and a strong connection with the audience. In October 2026, Mell VF will tour unique churches across the Netherlands for an intimate acoustic church tour. During this concert series, the band will perform a carefully curated mix of their own repertoire, beloved audience favorites, and surprising interpretations of songs that have inspired them over the years. The unique acoustics and atmosphere of the churches create a special musical experience that highlights the pure power of the songs.
