PFAS and Us – Us and PFAS

Tue, June 9, 2026
20:00 - 22:30

Everyone is affected by PFAS, and we in Dordrecht even more so. They’re in our water, in our air, in the soil, and in our own bodies.

The DE STAD Foundation is also concerned about this. That is why DE STAD is organizing an evening event on Tuesday, June 9, on this topic: PFAS and Us—Us and PFAS.

Investigative journalist Thomas Goorden explains what PFAS are and why they are a problem.

Nanette van Ameide-Poortman serves as the coordinator for the Chemours-PFAS issue on behalf of the City of Dordrecht. She explains what the city is doing and can do regarding PFAS.

Alfons Uijtewaal of Huize Aarde will share his perspective on PFAS and water from a more holistic viewpoint. The evening will be moderated by Anneke van Veen, who serves on the board of both Stichting DE STAD and Stichting PFAS Vrij Green Claim.

City Poet Swendeline Ersilia and others will provide engaging interludes.
