During the Popronde, it's time once again for up-and-coming talent from the Netherlands to make their mark. These artists will be performing at various venues throughout our beautiful city—and, of course, Bibelot is one of them!
Power Stage:
MAYTE Headstrong alt-pop with Frisian lyrics, straight from the heart. Mayte takes you on a journey with an explosive, theatrical performance.
In 2025, she won De Kleine Prijs van Friesland, the Frisian Song Contest “Liet,” and the Bernlef Prize. In 2026, she was selected for Popronde and named a 3voor12 Talent.
In the fall of 2026, she released her second EP, *Tid wurdt myn freon* (Time Becomes My Friend): a record about personal growth and letting go. With this, Mayte opens a new chapter, featuring a darker and rawer sound.
Igor The 26-year-old producer, singer, and rapper Igor blends hip-hop, jazz, classical, soul, and electronic music into a unique sound full of catchy hooks, live instruments, and poetic rap. Following his debut album *Kind Aan Zee*, he released his second album, *Dingen Die Ik Gauw Vergeet*, featuring contributions from Stay Away From Dante!, Kika Sprangers, and Spinvis. Live, he brings his music to life with energy alongside drummer Aron Smit, keyboardist Boudewijn Pleij, and saxophonist Diana Dzhabbar.
KRAM is an Irish-Dutch alternative/post-punk band from Amsterdam, driven by urgency, tension, and collective release. Guided by their belief that “Love Stands Forever,” they seek to create connection in a divided world through their music and live shows. Known for their powerful, explosive, and unifying live shows, they won the Amsterdam Pop Prize in 2025. They recorded their debut EP with Alex Greaves (Gurriers, bdrmm, Yard Act). Although they haven’t released any music yet, they’ve already taken their first steps onto the international stage with two tours in England and a show at Super Sonic’s “They’re Gonna Be Big” in Paris. This fall, they’ll be participating in the Popronde, where 3voor12, OOR, and Nevermind The Hype have named them a talent to watch.
Fuel:
Amani was born and raised in Suriname. Amani’s music today is rooted in an authentic Afro-Caribbean sound, blending elements of pop, dancehall, kawina, R&B, and house. Her upcoming EP, *Echo*, marks the beginning of a new era—an era in which she fully embraces her identity, roots, and artistic vision.
Duygu Alkan is a singer-songwriter who grew up in Turkey and is based in Rotterdam. She blends Eastern-inspired melodies with sleek synth-pop to create a sound that is fresh, emotional, and unmistakably her own. With her debut single, Duygu confidently steps onto the pop scene. Her songs are original and full of emotion.
