The Mercurius Observatory kicks off its participation in NL Space Week with a Space Festival in Dordrecht. The event is intended for children, families, space enthusiasts, and others who are interested in learning about astronomy and space exploration in an accessible way.
Throughout the afternoon, visitors can take part in a variety of activities, including a space fair with exhibitors and partners, guided tours, planetarium shows, demonstrations, and children’s activities. If the weather is clear, there will be solar observations and opportunities to look through telescopes yourself. For children, there will be workshops, science experiments, games, and a bouncy castle, among other things.
At the volunteer booth, visitors can learn about the work of the Mercurius Observatory and find out how they can get involved with the observatory.
