Dusk with Marjolijn van Heemstra

Sun, Jan. 10, 2027
4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Experience the transition from day to night together during a special twilight experience.

You don’t have to wait until it’s dark to experience the night. Shortly after sunset, a special transitional moment begins: twilight. The golden hour gives way to the blue hour, colors fade, and a different world emerges.

During “Schemeren,” writer, poet, and theater artist Marjolijn van Heemstra invites visitors to consciously reflect on this moment between day and night. Together, you wait for darkness to fall and experience how light slowly gives way to darkness.

The experience is similar to *From Dusk Till Dawn*, in which visitors embark on a journey from dusk to dawn. While the exhibition shows how people lived in the seventeenth century in a world where night was still truly dark, *Schemeren* allows visitors to experience that transition for themselves.

You can visit the "From Dusk Till Dawn" exhibition on your own prior to this event.
