What did the season bring around 1900, for both the residents upstairs and downstairs? Join us for the seasonal tour of Huis Van Gijn.
The house moves with it
There are many stories behind the Huis Van Gijn collection. Four times a year, the museum’s display changes to reflect the season. The table in the dining room is set differently, the flowers reflect the season, and the daily routines in the kitchen are slightly different. The large chest of drawers in the print room on the second floor features themed displays from the collection. During this guided tour, you’ll discover how the seasons were experienced around 1900 in an upper-class household.
