On Wednesday, September 9, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Vocal Group Route Sixteen will perform during the Open Podium event at Statenplein.
Under the direction of conductor Marlous Luiten, the choir performs a varied a cappella repertoire that includes close harmony, barbershop, jazzy songs, and the occasional foray into classical music. The choir has been in existence for 40 years and currently has 42 members from the region. The name Route Sixteen refers to the A16, the highway that runs past Dordrecht. The performance will take place outdoors on Statenplein. In case of inclement weather, the performance will be moved to an alternative location.
