Flying on your own… doesn’t that sound wonderful?! With a homemade kite, you get the same feeling: gliding through the air.
During Weizigt Wednesday on August 5, we're going to make a kite.
Esther van Zoelen (a guest instructor from SOC) will show you different kinds of kites. Some of the kites are very special and were made by an artist!
You make your kite out of simple materials: wood, fabric, paper, plastic, and string. You draw inspiration from the colors and shapes of various birds and other flying creatures.

This workshop is especially fun for children ages 4 through 8. But children up to age 12 are also welcome! For younger children, we ask that parents stay with them so they can help their child with the kite.
