Het Gemaal, a place for (h)) honest food and drink located on the outskirts of Stadspolders. During the day you are welcome for coffee and cake, high tea, lunch or drinks and in the evening for a sumptuous dinner. Come and enjoy a nice selection of wines, our own gin and coffee and of course delicious meals.
The Gemaal itself has existed since 1881. It was founded as a steam pumping station for the drainage of the Stadspolders in the city of Dordrecht. At the time, the pumping station was fired with coal. The barn where this coal was stored has been granted monumental status because of its unusual construction. This coal barn has been completely renovated and that is where you will now find the kitchen.
The Pumping Station is also accessible by water, jetty for small boats and sloops.
