Da Nina is a traditional Italian speciality restaurant in the centre of Dordrecht. The restaurant bears the name of Nina, the lovely daughter of Ercole and Any, who now run two Italian restaurants together in Dordrecht. Since 1981, the well-known Piccolo Italia has existed and now Restaurant Da Nina.
At Da Nina, you get to know the pinsa. That is a pizza, but smaller and easier to digest. Restaurant Da Nina serves, among other things, this Italian delicacy, which is still relatively unknown in the Netherlands. The pinsa, just like the pizza, comes in many varieties. The difference lies mainly in a different type of dough. It contains fewer calories and less fat, making the product easier to digest. Another difference is that the smaller, oval pinsa has no tomato sauce. Da Nina also serves many local Italian specialities with matching wines. The somewhat spicier Italian cuisine from the south of Italy, for instance, is served with a somewhat stronger wine. But also a 'normal' pizza is on the menu here, gluten-free if desired.
