In the middle of the vegetable garden, housed in the former pump building, is Villa Augustus' restaurant. Open all day, seven days a week, with room for 200 guests. The restaurant is the ideal of gardener and cook: from early spring to deep winter, the garden is where the Dutch season is visible and harvestable. Inspiring for both. All vegetables, fruits and herbs go to the cooks immediately after harvest. From the open kitchen, the heart of the restaurant, they prepare that as delicious (and beautiful) as possible.
The menu features a limited number of dishes, some of which change every two months. We work as much as possible with organic or otherwise well-produced products. Preferably from the immediate area, but fine ingredients from elsewhere in Europe are also possible.
Rondvaarten
Villa Augustus heeft achter het hotel twee rondvaartboten in het Wantij liggen. Welkom aan boord!
Bij een tocht van een uur vaart de schipper langs het historische centrum van Dordrecht: via Europa’s drukste rivierenknooppunt en het door talloze meesters vereeuwigde Groothoofd, langs eeuwenoude huizen die met hun voeten in het water staan en waar de golven tegen de ramen kabbelen…
Een rondvaart van twee uur (of langer) brengt je naar de Hollandse Biesbosch; het groene doolhof van grienden en kreekjes, het domein van bevers, zee- en visarenden en natuurlijk Haas!
