The course consists of six lessons that take you on a step-by-step journey through the universe. You’ll learn how our solar system came into being, how stars and planets are formed, and what processes take place in space. We’ll also explore questions such as: Is there possibly extraterrestrial life?
We’ll also cover familiar and interesting phenomena such as meteorites, shooting stars, and the different phases of the moon. This way, you’ll not only gain theoretical knowledge but also a better understanding of what you can observe in the sky yourself.
The course dates are September 11, 18, and 25, and October 9, 16, and 30. The course starts at 8:00 p.m.
The cost is €150 per person, including course materials and coffee or tea during each class. The course is suitable for beginners ages 16 and older and provides a clear foundation for anyone who wants to learn more about astronomy. The course is taught by Erik Blokland.
