One of the most interesting punk bands around right now hails from Montreal, Canada, and sings in French: Béton Armé stands out for its original melodies, catchy choruses, and, above all, its super-energetic live performances. The band draws inspiration from the French oi! punk bands of the ’80s and has translated that into a contemporary mix of punk rock, street punk, and hardcore—perfect for belting along to, whether phonetically or not. Opening the show are the rocking hardcore oi! stompers Robber, from Amsterdam/Haarlem/Groningen, featuring members of Oust, Traumatizer, and Frontsector.
+Support: The Rotterdam-based band Lone Wolf combines catchy melodies and jangly guitars with heavy themes in their energetic punk rock. On their new album *Dark Thoughts*: “We wanted to make an album that captures how our darkest thoughts seem to overwhelm us, but with an energy that makes you want to move and let it all out,” says singer/bassist Ox Accelerator. “This is the kind of album that can hit you hard at times, but also reminds you that you’re not alone.”
