On Saturday, July 18, you can join nature guides on a tour to discover the underwater life in the Nieuwe Dordtse Biesbosch.
Aquatic plants and aquatic animals provide an indication of water quality. During this exploration, we’ll therefore actively search for aquatic animals, such as the agile water strider, the mysterious dragonfly nymph, and the caddisfly. We’ll also look for aquatic plants, which help keep the water clean and healthy for all aquatic life.
- Location: Nieuwe Dordtse Biesbosch. Departure from parking lot P3 on Van Elzelingenweg.
- Date: Saturday, July 18
- Time: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Biodivers Dordt
This activity is organized by the Biodivers Dordt working group. This working group aims to raise awareness of nature among the residents of the Drechtsteden. What can we—and the residents themselves—do to create a green living environment? It makes you feel better, it’s pleasant when it’s hot, and there’s more space for plants and animals. We want to achieve this through education and activities. We look forward to collaborating with residents and other organizations.
The working group consists of the following organizations: Biesboschcentrum Dordrecht, Groei & Bloei Drechtsteden, IVN Dordrecht, KNNV Drechtsteden, Nivon Natuurvrienden Drechtsteden, Stadslandbouwpark de Oude Beer, and Weizigt. Other organizations and residents are welcome to contribute.
