Three musicians with a distinct sound of their own are joining forces: Hammond organist Frank Montis, guitarist Anton Goudsmit, and drummer Chris Strik. All three have been mainstays of the Dutch jazz scene for years.
Hammond organist Frank Montis is known for his energetic playing and his deep roots in soul, funk, and jazz. With his warm organ sound and groovy bass lines, he often forms the beating heart of a band. Guitarist Anton Goudsmit is considered one of the most original and virtuosic guitarists in the Netherlands. He gained international recognition with groups such as New Cool Collective and The Ploctones and was awarded the Boy Edgar Prize.
Drummer Chris Strik is a versatile and in-demand drummer who has been active on the Dutch jazz and pop scene for years. He plays with bands such as The Preacher Men and is known for his powerful, flexible playing and strong sense of groove. This makes him an ideal partner for both adventurous improvisation and solid rhythmic foundations.
When these three musicians share the stage, they create a dynamic blend of jazz, funk, soul, and free improvisation. The result is an energetic and spontaneous musical encounter, centered on the joy of playing and interaction.
