Ruben Hillen is a Dutch singer-songwriter who became known to the general public through his participation in the thirteenth season of The Voice of Holland. With his distinctive voice, heartfelt performances, and strong stage presence, he won over both the coaches and the viewers. He combines emotion, energy, and musicality in his performances, which blend influences from pop, soul, and modern singer-songwriter music.
Despite his down-to-earth nature, Ruben wins over the audience at every performance with his intensity and sincerity—qualities that have quickly established him as a promising new artist on the Dutch music scene.
Even before appearing on *The Voice*, Ruben had been active in the music scene for years as the frontman of the cover band Unite, where he gained a lot of live experience and developed into a versatile performer. Immediately after winning the finale, he released his first original single, “20 Seconds.” The day after the finale, coaches Suzan & Freek announced that Ruben will be the opening act for their concerts at the GelreDome; he will also perform at Concert at Sea in June.
