Yvonne Melchers, based in Alkmaar (NL), creates figurative oil paintings that reflect her love for both the cool light of the North Sea and the warmth of Italian life. Her main series include *The North Sea*, *Italian Scenes*, *Siena Palio Portraits*, and *Rooms with a View*. All are painted with a fresh, limited palette similar to that used by Claude Monet.
Melchers has exhibited in the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, and the U.S., with works displayed at Museum Møhlmann and included in collections such as the Academic Medical Center in Amsterdam. Her portraits and scenes have been finalists or semifinalists in prestigious competitions such as the BP Portrait Award (London), Figurativas (Barcelona), and the ARC Salon (U.S.). In 2024 and 2025, eleven of her works will be launched to the moon as part of Dr. Samuel Peralta’s Lunar Codex project.
Please note! This exhibition is open only on Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and by appointment at: 06-29058980 or wggallery@gmail.com
