At Kat in ’t Bakkie on Voorstraat, you can enjoy a delicious cup of coffee (made with beans from the Stadsbranderij) along with a fresh pastry, while the kids play happily in the children’s area. Half of the space is reserved for the little ones. Het Magazijn has a really cool treehouse in the garden for slightly older kids, and at Villa Augustus , on a warm day, you can relax on the patio while the kids have fun on the old tractor, swings, and seesaw.
The Stadsbranderij is open on Sunday mornings starting at 11 a.m. It’s perfect for when the little ones wake up early and you’re ready for a good cup of coffee. You can relax on the couch while your child plays with everything in the toy box.

Restaurant Post also has a wonderful toy cabinet filled with fun books, games, and other toys. At Bluebirds in the Backyard Garden Café , there’s a lovely play area for children of various ages, featuring a play kitchen, a doll stroller and dollhouse, books, and toy cars.
The Stadsklooster ’s conservatory is a perfect spot for families. At the large tables, kids can enjoy coloring while you have a drink. And there’s even a play area! Finally, at Patisserie & Lunch Van der Sterre there’s a little play kitchen where kids can have a blast, and coloring pages for the slightly older children.
