The Friends of Nature House "De Kleine Rug" is one of 13 Friends of Nature Houses in the Netherlands. "De Kleine Rug" is located on a peninsula on the edge of the Hollandsche Biesbosch. The former farmhouse, which was completely renovated in 2001, can only be reached by boat. The skipper will sail you across with a sloop or an electric pontoon ferry. The 33-bed house is particularly suitable for smaller groups. The cozy, smoke-free living room overlooks the Wantij. Next to the house are two log cabins and four hiker's huts. Canoes are available for rent near the house. Behind the house is a natural camping area, it has its own shower and toilet facility at the Friends of Nature House.
