’t Gilde Dordrecht has been in existence since 1990 and is one of the 50 active guilds affiliated with the umbrella organization Gilde Nederland. The Gilde Dordrecht City Walks is a nonprofit foundation and operates exclusively with experienced volunteers. This allows them to keep costs low while still offering an excellent product. Each year, a portion of the proceeds from the city walks is used to support several cultural institutions in Dordrecht. Last year, these included the Trinitatis Chapel, the Augustijnenhof Documentation and Knowledge Center, the Grote Kerk, and the Stolpersteine Dordrecht Working Group Foundation.
The guides have extensive knowledge of Dordrecht’s past and present. They’ll be happy to introduce you to Dordrecht in a casual and engaging way and help you enjoy all the beauty that “the oldest city in Holland” has to offer.
