The Dordtpas is a pass that allows you to do nice things in the city at a considerable discount or even for free. You can use it to go to the cinema, eat poffertjes, go to all the museums, take a boat trip, go to Blijdorp for € 5, take the water bus, many restaurants and much, much more.

You can buy the Dordtpas for €50 (Dordt children for €12.50) but there are also Dordents who can apply for the pass for free. For example, lower income or informal caregivers. Volunteers and students get a 50 percent discount. Besides all these fun promotions, there are also all kinds of income support schemes available on the pass for certain target groups. Think of the SMS Children's Fund for schoolchildren, a Sports Credit, The Caregiver Appreciation, free library membership, an OV Valley discount card, etc. With these credits, people at affiliated providers can use the credit to buy or do things with.
On the website www.dordtpas.nl there is a checker to see if you qualify for something. There are also special pages for the various target groups that explain how it works. In the Dordtpas-app you can see what actions are available, what you have already done and what actions you can still do and how much credit you can still spend somewhere.
Readily available
The Dordtpas is one of the most ''broad'' city passes in the Netherlands! Besides the fun promotions, the schemes and credits are very easily available. "In the feedback from our users, we often hear that they are rediscovering their own city or can now finally do fun things with the children or grandchildren that they would otherwise not be able to afford," says Elizabeth de Haan, project manager of the Dordtpas. "The schemes are automatically placed on the pass, so you don't have to apply for everything again yourself. Many users really like that. For certain target groups we organize our own actions. Such as a DordtpasDoedag for children who cannot go on vacation or fun outings for caregivers. This makes users feel more connected with each other, with our beautiful city and for those with credit or a scheme it is a lot easier. Because we have actions as well as schemes and credits on the Dordtpas, its use is very multifunctional and flexible and the Municipality knows how to reach the relevant target groups well. There will be many more schemes on the Dordtpas in the coming years."
Still actions
You can still enjoy the Dordtpas the rest of this year as well.The annual promotions remain valid until December 31. Like going to Blijdorp, the museums, round trip, poffertjes, the catering discounts, free swimming and skating, the cinema and much, much more. On the website you can read all the actions that are still available. But: the Dordtpas also has one-time actions. For example, in the fall vacation you could go to Toverland by bus with a super high discount - Elizabeth: "Thousands of people took advantage of that, is always great fun all those Dordtpas buses going" - and in December you can expect some nice surprises. Among others at Kunstmin, Bibelot and Molen Kijck over den Dijck. But the offer is added to just about every week, so you'd do well to just keep an eye on the website, the app and the newsletters! The monthly newsletters also always include a fun contest that allows you to enter a unique promotion, such as a hotel stay, extra tickets to an attraction and so on.
Increasingly popular
In case you got excited about the Dordtpas: you're not the only one. Not only is the Dordtpas being purchased more often, it is also being used more and more by the pass holders. Elizabeth: "Of course we as Dordtpas are very happy about that! In recent years we have grown to about 23,000 pass holders, which is over 20 percent of the population of Dordrecht. We started five years ago with 120 providers in the city, we are now over 400 who have an action at least once a year or make themselves available to use a credit. All sports clubs and cultural associations are pretty much connected now, that's close to 200 altogether as well. In the first year - back then it was corona though - we had about 25,000 uses (not counting the credits). This year, we will probably end up with more than 80,000 times of people taking an action. For both the pass holders and the providers fantastic of course!"
Pass with sports credit
Since September 1, families with an income just above the minimum can also apply for a Dordtpas with a sports credit for children on it. Elizabeth: "That is really special, because a lot of children can now really participate in everything. Next year we expect more new schemes on the Dordtpas, but I can't reveal anything about that yet. And of course we hope to offer many new promotions again for next year. We are already negotiating a lot with a number of national organizations and are looking e.g. together with the Rotterdam pass whether we can exchange actions. Certainly we will have another fantastic offer for our pass holders in 2025. So wait a little longer!"
Dordt Pass Prices
In regular sales, a Dordtpas costs €50 for an adult (regardless of residence) and €12.50 for children in Dordt. Volunteers and students pay only € 25. The savings potential for users is many times higher. One trip to the cinema, ice cream and poffertjes and one trip to the museum and you already have the amount out of it. For people on low incomes and family caregivers, the Dordtpas is free.
