By now, it is impossible to imagine Dordrecht without the Swan Market. The lifestyle market on the Statenplein offers a fun day out. You will find a diverse creative offer: handmade jewelry, accessories, fashion, vintage, items for children, art and fun interior items. But there is more, because not only can you shop to your heart's content, you can also eat and drink, enjoy live music and of course a good dose of fun. Esmé de Smit: "It is a popular event that we have been holding for 15 years in 15 cities. In Dordrecht, around two thousand visitors always come to the Swan Market. They can stroll around the hundred stalls. Meanwhile, for many people, the Swan Market has become a regular event. It allows them to discover entrepreneurs from Dordrecht and other parts of the country."
On May 5, Dordrecht will celebrate 80 years of liberation with an entertaining program full of music, theater and special stories. The day begins with the lighting of the Liberation Fire and a commemoration in the Merwestein Park. On the Statenplein, the Liberation Festival will burst into life, while in the Hof van Nederland you can join the Freedom Meal. Enjoy the performances Brokstukken and Zing en Wees Gelukkig, join the historical walk that ends in the Witte Haen with a play and concert by Stichting Dordtissimo or discover the story of the Liniecrossers during a cruise through the Biesbosch. Get inspired by Freedom Lectures by Raoul Heertje, special music and forgotten stories at Kunstmin. On May 4, a memorial will be unveiled in Amstelwijck. Sunday, May 11, is one big party during the Music Fest on the Statenplein! From 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., you can enjoy a cozy party with performances by artists from Dordrecht and cheerful farm bands. On stage will be Gerrit van Kooten, Alwin v/d Heuvel, Roy van Veen, Ed & John, Bradley Hulst, De Baloren, Mike v/d Linden, Adie van Laarho, Novus Kabalus and Hollands Welvaren, among others. Expect a fun mix of live music, farm bands, acoustic performances and a DJ to keep the square swinging. Grab a drink, enjoy the music and come party together on Statenplein. This is something you don't want to miss!

Of course the inner man has also been thought of, with a wide range of drinks, sweets, cookies and hot snacks. Enjoy Lepeltje Lepeltje in the Weizigtpark! It is already the 11th edition of the cultural food festival in Dordrecht and of course you want to be there. During your Ascension weekend, get your taste buds moving, go crazy to live music and electronic tunes and stroll over a market full of striking goods. For the youngest spoonbills, there is special entertainment in the park and Lepeltje Lepeltje is free for everyone. The atmosphere-enhancing elements combined with the fine cuisines are the big draws of the event, according to Renae Veneboer. "Everything comes together at Lepeltje Lepeltje: food, drinks, a creatively decorated grounds, cozy live music, activities for children and towards the evening hours the party gets cranked up. Between meals, you can stroll through the Pretty Things Market full of vintage treasures and handmade artwork." As always, Lepeltje Lepeltje is open to everyone free of charge.
