Festival Culture on the Corner
On Saturday, June 1, 2024, there will again be the Festival Cultuur op de Hoek. On that day, Dordrecht amateur art associations will be given a stage in the (inner) city. There will be performances, workshops, open houses and an exhibition; a great way to get acquainted with the many associations in Dordrecht. This new culture festival is open to everyone free of charge.
Culture on the Corner features a continuous program from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at various locations. A large stage at Scheffersplein will be the centerpiece of the festival. Admission to all activities is free.
Well-known and lesser-known names will perform between 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on three downtown stages and on indoor stages in the Art Church and Trinitatis Chapel.
Performances at Scheffers Square and Fish Bridge
At one of the terraces on Scheffersplein, enjoy Timbres Divers, Phil Young, JD's BigBand, Machar, Concertband Prince William of Orange and The Donuts.
Programmed on the Visbrug are Dordrecht Philharmonic Orchestra, Jong Jubal, Orchest Vereeniging Dordrecht, Drechtstad Muziekvereniging and Spotlight Orchestra
Performances on Vrieseplein, in KunstKerk and Trinitatiskapel
Jubal, DansOrkestDordrecht, Drumfanfare KNA and Jong Jubal can be heard and seen on the Vrieseplein. The dancers of Machar invite everyone to join them, so put on easy shoes!
A wide variety of choirs can be heard in the Trinitarian Chapel: Vocal Group Courage, Vocal Group Different Voices, Vocal Group Route Sixteen, Women's Choir La Confiance and the Toonkunst Choir.
The Arts Church provides a stage for Theater Inter Amicos, Soulshine, VHA Mass Choir, Mixed Choir Orpheus Ensemble and Merwe's Oratorio Society.

Exhibition, information and Multi Painting
The Dordrecht Amateur Photographers (DAF) have set up an exhibition in the Blue Room of the City Library (Groenmarkt 153). Will you join the workshop "photographing with your cell phone"?
The members and teachers of Painting and Drawing Association Studio 76 are going to create some nice big paintings in Vriesestraat (corner Lenghengang) together with passersby. Anyone can grab a brush and participate in this Multi Painting activity.
