In 1913, a first design was made for a new vocational school by renowned Dordrecht architect Bernard Van Bilderbeek. Construction began in 1918. To pay for it, the municipality built a number of single-family houses on adjacent lots. The architecture and execution of the Craft School show great craftsmanship. The facades have a monumental character with depth by staggered facades, bay windows and varied ornamental brickwork in depth and color. The ironwork, sculpture and many stained glass windows give the school a rich appearance. Forty years later, the school received several additions to the rear of the building. The name Craft School disappeared and gave way to Lower Technical School. Since the early twenty-first century, the building no longer has a schooling function. In 2017, the building was transformed into 29 apartments under the name "New LTS."
