Via Lumina has its own Outsider Art Gallery at 152 Voorstraat Noord. In this gallery, artists who are just a little bit different, such as people with autism and people with psychiatric backgrounds can exhibit their work. That art is called Outsider Art. What is Outsider Art? The name says it all: Outsider Art is art by talented people who cannot be at the center of society because they are just a little bit different. Often these artists, mostly self-taught, are immune from artistic influences. Outsider Art is thus not characterized by stylistic or historical art movements. The only essential characteristic of Outsider Art is that it is made outside the established order. In contrast, Outsider Art is often authentic, direct and original, because it is made from the depths of a special soul.
The meeting room is rented out as a meeting location for 2 to 10 people.
