In 1574, the Holy Ghost masters separated the physically ill from the rest of the people. The Leprooshuis was a continuation of the Holy Ghost and Plague House of the Great Church 25 and overlooked Vriesestraat, where criminals were executed. It housed "unsocials" such as orphans, old folks, mentally disturbed, alcoholics, plague sufferers and lepers. Closed in 1759, the asylum later became a barracks, military hospital and municipal archive. The framed facades are in Louis XIV style, the centerrisal consists of seven window axes. Above the entrance is the coat of arms of Dordrecht. Currently in use as hotel and catering establishment Het Stadsklooster.
