The museum and documentation centre is housed in an early 20th century building and has a collection of photographs, antique and recent maps, plans and models of Dutch landscapes. In addition, various landscape structures have been recreated in several geomorphological gardens. Some rooms of the house were given an art deco interior in the 1920s with stained glass windows, oak panelling, built-in sofas, armchairs and cupboards. The stained glass of the entrance to the house was made by glass painter W. Bogtman from Haarlem.
Toon Berg made the stained glass window in the bay window of the room on the first floor, in which he symbolically depicts early morning, afternoon and evening. The narrow windows to the left and right show a songbird (day) and an owl (night). The striking art deco style purple carpet in this room is original and contrasts beautifully with the wooden cabinets and built-in furniture.
